We are excited to introduce Jack, our featured Access scholarship recipient this month! At just 7 years old, Jack is a creative and compassionate artist whose imagination shines through everything he creates. Inspired by his early experiences at art camp and artists he admires online, Jack loves drawing animals, spooky scenes, and expressing big emotions through his work. Jack fits right in with the Access family as we know a thing or two about spooky art! We sat down with him to learn more about his artistic journey, inspirations, and dreams for the future.
Q: What’s your name and how old are you?
Jack: My name is Jack, and I am 7 years old.
Q: What colors or sounds describe your personality?
Jack: White, silver, golden, and blue.
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Jack: To save people.
Q: How did you first get interested in art (or music)?
Jack: When I was 4 at art camp.
Q: What kind of art or music do you like most?
Jack: I love to draw animals, scary things, and K-pop.
Q: Who inspires you to create (maybe a family member, teacher, or someone famous)?
Jack: I watch @art.simple on YouTube—he is my favorite artist.
Q: If you could paint, draw, or play music about anything in the world, what would it be?Jack: To draw my poppy back from heaven. I miss him.
Q: What’s one dream or goal you have for the future with your art or music?
Jack: To be a famous artist.
Q: If you could create something for the whole world to see or hear, what would it be?
Jack: A picture of a happy Earth.
Q: What would you tell another kid who wants to be an artist or musician someday?
Jack: I would teach them and tell them to practice, and that beauty comes from what you think it is.
Q: Anything you want everyone to know about you?
Jack: I love my family, playing with my twin sister, and drawing.
